This year is our last Christmas as a family of two, even though it already feels like our little guy is celebrating the festivities with us (he sort of is!). This holiday season has felt so much more special with his upcoming arrival and maybe that’s why it has absolutely flown by for me. With Christmas week officially here, we’re checking off a few of our favorite merry things leading up to Sunday. Shawn got us tickets to go see The Nutcracker tomorrow in Boston, which I’ve been wanting to see for years! Then on Friday night before my family arrives, we’ll be doing our annual lobsters and alaskan king crab leg dinner—it is one of my absolute favorite traditions we’ve kept going from Shawn’s family.
After that, I fully plan to kick back with the bump the rest of the weekend by a cozy fire with this coffee drink in hand, which will be such a treat for me! I actually cut back and then fully stopped drinking caffeinated coffee over a year ago after finding out that caffeine was affecting my blood sugar. I was only a one-cup-a-day kind of person, but it was still quite the adjustment for my mornings. Now, it’s a once a week treat for me and definitely a holiday indulgence.
Since I won’t be spiking mine this year, I’ll be fancying it up with a bit of whipped cream and this new version I crafted using Chobani greek yogurt is so yum. Sounds a little funky, but if you’re a greek yogurt lover like me this is such a fun way to get your dose in. Get the recipe below and have such a merry week ahead!

1 cup cold heavy whipping cream
1/4–1/2 cup Chobani greek yogurt
2 tbsp. sugar or honey
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
